About Lindenwood Esports
Introduction:
Lindenwood Esports is a place for competitive gamers to dial in their skills in the path to become a professional player in their respective game. Our players will be exposed to many aspects of a professional players career like rigorous practice, creating online content such as streaming on Twitch, creating YouTube videos, and growing their own social media channels like Twitter to prepare them for life after Lindenwood. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to learn first hand how to manage competitive tournaments and successful fundraising events.
Our program is split into two groups: Varsity and Community Club.
Varsity is reserved for our teams competing in our flagship games. Currently we are offering League of Legends, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Valorant, Rocket League, and Rainbow Six Siege. Each of these teams will have a starting roster as well as a substitute roster and compete in official collegiate leagues.
The Community Club is a place for anyone interested in video games, especially those with a competitive hunger, to come and play with other Lindenwood students. Being a part of our Community will allow you to find other players and compete whenever and wherever you want. Also, Lindenwood Esports will host events such as LAN tournaments for crowd favorites like Super Smash Bros. and watch parties for both our own Varsity teams as well as professional events. Have a good idea for an event? Tell us! We are open to adding any event to our Community Club that our players are interested in!
