USF Esports was officially recognized and founded in 2020. Under USF Recreation and Wellness, USF Esports has grown to one of the largest programs in the Southeast. With 12 esport clubs fielding over 25 teams each semester, USF Esports continues to grow. With varsity and open competition, all USF students are welcome to tryout and participate. USF Esports hosts multiple events and LANs, including the Battle for Florida, the largest collegiate esports tournament in Florida. The program also supports two 3-credit classes through a partnership with the MUMA College of Business. With future plans to support a minor in esports business. With a large online presence, 3,500+ members in our Discord, the 2nd most followed university ran collegiate esports channel in NA, and a staff of 20 part time paid student positions, USF esports has a spot for everyone.
